Sketch and Drawing
Linda Louise Mecham-Rigsbee
I have given away so many of my sketches that I have lost count. Many of them were given to fellow students in grade and high school. One of my books has been on hold for years while I figured out how to get copyright free photos of the different goat breeds. Finally, I thought - why not draw them? I have began "The Udderly Versitile Goat," but it will be awhile before I complete this book about all the different uses for goats.
I have always loved the pastel look of colored pencils so, when I began writing children's books, I did the illustrations for them.
Recently, I have started working on more detailed colored pencil portraits and have given some thought to commissioned drawings. For now, I am concentrating on improving my skill and finding a comfortable style.
