In 2019, I began making decorative pies. I started in the autumn with leaves. I designed and cut out each leaf individually. Then I scored it. To color it, I used food coloring in an egg wash. For the other pies, I had some tiny cookie/pie cutters that were my mothers, and I made more using flashing, tin snips and pliers. Sometimes I still like to carve the pie dough by hand. I make these and sell them at Farmer's Markets, but I do special orders sometimes.
